I visited Dubai recently, early April and I had to pop by Almaz by Momo at Harvey Nics in MOE (Mall of the Emirates). One of my favourite haunts together with Wafi Gourmet, Zaatar Zeit and Al Safadi. Here one can try dishes such as wild pigeon pastilla pastry; tagine with preserved lemon; and lamb with quinces, almonds and couscous. You can also try their array of pastries and some refreshing mint tea – they will ask you how sweet you want it to be. The decor is beautiful and the food is rather a fine modern twist to many North African mainly moroccan/tunisian favourites. This restaurant is by Mourad Mazouz who has also the restaurant/bar called Momo in London and Sketch.
Anyway on that day, my friends (Alex and Ansalia) and I had the falafel, the moroccan semolina pancakes Beghrir and Tunisian tuna brik. Here are the lovely photos of our food.
